This is my first time trying the HCG. I have plateaued twice and I haven't done anything different. Is this common?

Yes this is common. More so with women then men. Usually you will average out to about .5 to 1 pound a day though. Don't worry Dr. S had lots to say about folks freaking out when they stalled for a few days. ;)

Also when weight loss stalls this is when the body is sculpting. Moving essential fats back to where they should be and out of the places we all hate :) So even though the scale is not showing a loss you still might be getting smaller in the waist etc.

I am on my second round and I have noticed I have stalled more often and weight loss has been slower then on the first round. Also the first two weeks are usually your biggest losses and then you level off to a half a pound to a pound "average" per day. Still think about it, conventional diets you loose about 1-2 pounds per week and then gain it all back and more when done.

Anyway don't worry your doing fine!

Crickette,
I have had off and on plateauing throughout the diet. It seems to resume within 3 or 4 days for me. It doesn't seem to be cause for concern. I notice that a little extra exercise helps to jump start it sometimes; maybe an extra long walk with the dog. :-)
